A Guide For Planning Baby’s 1st Halloween

A Guide For Planning Baby's 1st Halloween

Your family has got the spirit! We share the sentiment: it is pleasurable to dress our babies in cute and hilarious Halloween clothing. That's why the Halloween Club has compiled this blog of expert advice and costume ideas to make your baby's 1st Halloween the best Halloween yet! ;)

Phase 1: Choosing a lovable costume

Your baby has needs. The goal is to meet those needs. Think to acquire a costume that is first, comfortable and warm enough for your baby. You'll also probably want to consider whether the costume makes your baby happy to wear. Sometimes babies can become terrified and traumatized by their own costumes, for example. Avoid that. Some people advise that less is more on the baby's first costume. Start your search early as possible by stopping by your local Halloween Club to sample what costumes might be best for your particular baby.

Fresh From the Pumpkin Patch

This is the classic Halloween costume including an orange jumpsuit, hat, and booties, made of 90% cotton and 10% spandex. It features a button-snap closure on the inner legs, a black jack-o-lantern face design on the chest, and attached green leaves around the neck collar. The matching hat and booties are detailed with the same jack-o-lantern face design and decorated with green leaves as well. You won't be able to resist bringing this Lil' Pumpkin home.

Pretty much anything can be turned into a costume. Beyond DIY, we've got you covered with our comprehensive selection of Halloween Club baby costumes.

Phase 2: Setting up for your photo shoot

Do your home photoshoot early, as is the standard procedure of getting the photos out of the way before the event. The photographs will make for some irreplaceable memories, so allocate time for the shoot, and get lots of shots. Choose the final photos that best represent your baby's life moment.

Lil' Hero

Phase 3: Making a local event appearance

To us, Halloween is a family season more than it is a date, and it doesn't have to be all about trick-or-treating. Check your local listings to plan for pumpkin patches or harvest festivals. Maybe drive out into the forest and appreciate the autumn nature leaf turning. Who are you looking to celebrate with? Arrange those invitations, be them formal or informal.

Phase 4: Safety on the 31st

When October 31st arrives, celebrate with your baby early in the day. It is suggested that infant trick-or-treaters do so between 4 and 6 pm. The late-night Halloween scene may not be appropriate for your baby. Sometimes little ones get the bigger kick out of being the ones to hand out the candy amidst a creative home display. When it's time for bed, turn off the porch light so other trick-or-treaters will get the hint.

Alternatives to trick or treating may be the smarter choice. You can drive around your local mall and business districts, or check their websites or call in advance to see what kinds of family celebrations and festivities are to be expected.
